Christ in us the Hope of Glory

ChurchWebThe Latest

I like the metaphor of walking in Christ. Because walking is something that is boring. It is something that is so common and regular. It is an ordinary thing to do for most of us. It’s a bit like blinking. It just happens naturally and often without thought. That’s what walking in Christ is like – it’s a natural part of who we are as Christians. As believers, to walk in Christ is supposed to be ordinary. It is supposed to be common and regular. It isn’t anything special – it is our regular normal day to day life. Being aware of God’s presence, and the reality that Christ is in us – the Hope of Glory – means that wherever we go, we take Christ with us, because he is in us! When we are at work – Christ is in us. When we are out shopping – Christ is in us. When we are yelling at the kids – Christ is in us. When we go for a walk – Christ is in us. Just think about that. In everything that you think, do and say – Christ is in us…
“God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Col 1:27)

So walk in Him – let that reality be something that encourages and builds you up! Let that reality be a reminder that with whatever you are doing – Christ is right there too!  So walk in Him with boldness and security, and Bring the Hope that is found in Christ with you!
